Earth Harp Stage

Kennedy Plaza | 6:30 | 8:30 | 10:30 PM

The Earth Harp by the Music Architecture Sonic Sculpture (MASS) Ensemble transformed the Temple into a gigantic musical instrument. Strings extended across the playa from a performance platform to the base of the central tower. Interestingly the strings were actually played by friction, not by plucking, making it almost a sort of hand-bowed violin than a harp. It sounded a bit like a cello being played at the upper end of its register.

The largest stringed instrument on the planet… coming down from the Superman building over Kennedy plaza… that has been at Burning Man….so we are basically at Burning Man..
